During one such routine feeding visit, one of our ACAE Trichy volunteers came across a newborn puppy in dire need of care and attention. The puppy, who was just 45 days old, was separated from his mother and had not eaten for more than 15 days. He appeared weak, malnourished and needed immediate care.
Wasting no time, the volunteers took the puppy under their care and began feeding and nursing his condition. However, despite their best efforts, the puppy refused to eat. It became evident that something was wrong.
Determined to save the little life, the team immediately took the puppy to a vet, where he was diagnosed with severe malnutrition and dehydration. The team spared no expense and provided the puppy with the best medical treatment, including a drip and medication, to help him regain his strength and health.
With continuous care, the puppy started showing signs of recovery. ACAE Trichy volunteers continued to monitor the puppy's progress and ensured he was healing well. With the team's love and care, the puppy overcame his sickness and started eating normally again.
